Focus Roller for ADHD/Anxiety/Problems Focusing with Essential Oils

Natural way to improve concentration, memory, and focus. My son and husband use it constantly and swear by it.


So my husband and oldest son have ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, and to say they have a hard time focusing and staying on task is an understatement.  I wrote about what it was like to live with them in a recent post on having OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and living with family members with ADHD here.  All that aside they are amazing wonderful people who give with their whole hearts and truly love unconditionally.

We have been trying to find a way to help them focus more and since we have started using essential oils I researched the best oil combinations to use and we put them in a roller.  The result?  It worked great!  My husband uses it constantly at work and my son uses it at home while doing homework and tries to remember to use it before tests at school.  It is super easy to make and since the you only need a small amount of each oil it’s actually pretty inexpensive to make.

The thing you need :

  • Fractioned Coconut oil
  • Essential Oil Roller
  • funnel (optional)
  • Essential Oils- I only buy from Young Living, I love that I know where their oil comes from and that they are not cut with fillers and are safe for my family.  If you would like to buy from Young Living please feel free to click here.
    • Patchouli
    • Lavender
    • Cedarwood
    • Vetiver
    • Valor

Put 15 drops of each oil in the roller and fill the rest with coconut oil (make sure it is fractioned so that it remains liquid).  Make sure there is enough room on top for the roller.

Then whenever you feel anxious, nervous, restless, or just can’t concentrate apply it to bottom of feet, spine, behind ears, or inside of forearms.  My husband swears by this.

    this is actually a super interesting little trick! I have a friend of mine who has a trick that she swears by: when she has trouble concentrating, she usually puts a little bit of tiger balm behind her years ( she swears it works for her).
    I think yours is better. at least in terms of scent! 🙂

    Wow I have never heard of this before. I love that this is a natural way to help with this condition. For anyone who feels weary about medications this can be a great alternative to try.
